GOD One eternal God existing in three persons Father, Son, and Holy Spirit created, sustains, and governs all things. (Matthew 28:19, John 1:1-4, Hebrews 1:1-4, 2 Corinthians 13:14, John 17:24, John 14:26, Ephesians 4:4-6)

MAN & THE CURSE Mankind was created in the image of God. The first man, Adam, disobeyed God despite God’s promise of a certain penalty of death that would follow. This curse of sin and death is affective in every human being as well as creation itself. (Genesis 1:26-31, Genesis 3, Romans 5:12, 18, Romans 8:20-21, Ephesians 2:1-3)

THE PROMISED SAVIOR God promised salvation from the curse of sin and death through a human seed to be born of Eve, the Jewish Patriarch Abraham’s descendants (Isaac, & Jacob), the tribe of Judah, and King David. This seed is Jesus Christ (Messiah). (Matthew 1:1-17, Genesis 12:2-3, Genesis 26:2-3, Genesis 35:9-12, Genesis 49:10, 2 Samuel 7:12-16, Luke 1:30-33, Acts 3:12-26, Galatians 3:7-8)

THE SUFFERING SAVIOR Concerning this salvation, the prophets foretold the sacrificial death of this sinless Messiah for the sins of mankind. The prophets foretold salvation and deliverance from the curse through the merciful forgiveness of God in his promised suffering servant. (Isaiah 53)

THE POWER AND BEAUTY OF THE SAVIOR God the Son manifested himself in the person of Jesus Christ. He demonstrated his authority over the curse by healing diseases, binding demons, raising the dead, calming violent storms in creation, and manifesting for the first time in human history the beauty of righteousness. (Daniel 7:13-14, Matthew 8-9, John 1:1-5, John 11:38-44)

THE COVENANT OF FORGIVENESS Jesus Christ, the Son of God, suffered and died a bloody death by Roman crucifixion as a perfect and necessary sacrificial offering for the restoration of mankind, just as God had had foretold concerning the promised seed. Salvation is first and foremost a covenant of forgiveness and pardon through the blood of Jesus. (John 1:29, Matthew 26:26-28, Romans 6:3-4, 2 Corinthians 5:17-21)

THE GIFTS OF THE COVENANT For every soul of man who acknowledges and believes that the crucifixion of Jesus Christ is the only means of restoration there is 1) forgiveness for disobedience 2) spiritual empowerment for obedience and 3) eternal life with God. (Romans 10:9-10, I Peter 1:2)

THE GRACE OF GOD It is God who initiates, sustains, and executes this salvation on behalf of His love, mercy, and power so that salvation would be to the praise of God’s glorious grace and not the works of man. (John 15:16, Romans 8:28-30, I Thessalonians 1:4-5, Ephesians 1:4-6, Ephesians 2:8-10, Revelations 13:7-8)

THE RETURN OF CHRIST Christ will manifestly return for a final judgment of eternal life and resurrection of the bodies of the saints and eternal punishment of the unjust. (Matthew 25:29-31, John 5:26-29, Romans 2:5-11, I Corinthians 15:50-55, I Thessalonians 4:16-17)

THE AUTHORITY AND PURPOSE OF SCRIPTURE The entirety of all truths relevant for the knowledge of God and his will for mankind has been preserved through the Bible, the sacred scriptures of the Jewish people. (Deuteronomy 31:24-26, Deuteronomy 4:2, 2 Timothy 3:15-17, Revelations 22:18-19)
