Salt and Light. Examine what it means to have the Salt that Christ calls us to exemplify in our own lives as well as how to protect and enhance our saltiness. Look at Light and see how we are to respond to a world in darkness, along with where and when we should let our Light shine.

Combating Unbelief . Our world (including the church) is full of combatants over many worldly things, but the body of Christ needs to be mighty combatants of unbelief. Although faith is a gift of God, there are many things we can do to fight against unbelief. We’ll explore how doing self maintenance on your faith, being encouraged by other believers, while maintaining our initial hope with softened hearts.

The Mark. When we press forward into the calling of God, we don’t focus on our past, although we are to recognize and be repentant of sin. Instead, we are to rejoice that God is glorified in our redemption. Rejoicing reorients our hearts to rely on Jesus and allows us to overcome anxiety by trusting thankfully in Jesus. We can know and believing that He is capable to do ALL things! As God teaches us to respond in this way, He gives us supernatural peace so that we can face suffering with gladness!

God’s Stranger Things. We’ve all heard about the stories in the Bible where God works miraculously through intervention or healing. But He is still active in doing those things today. We’ll explore the story of Peter in prison and his miraculous release. We’ll see how, then and now, God’s “Stranger Things” defy man made opposition, reassure and stupefy his followers, and create avenues for amazing testimonies.

The Great Costs & Greater Rewards. We’ll look at How Christ juxtaposes the rewards with the cost of discipleship. His promises assure that “blissfully happy” are those who follow his commands. Even though the life in Christ is sacrificial, he shows us that Life in the Spirit is always filled with joy and that those promises are transformative.

Two Mountains. Two Covenants During the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus Prepares the church for the New Law. We’ll look at how the Old Law and Covenant was given by God but was known to be inadequate. Even at its outset, Moses anticipated a new covenant. This new covenant shifted from a covenant of conquest to a covenant of clemancy. Pastor Kenny - June 23rd, 2019
